Unfortunately, our Republic was taken long ago.

The US government is a proxy for a Tyrannical Oligarchy.

Although I do appreciate the sentiment, this Democracy v. Republic argument goes nowhere.

I frequently hear this discussion in my everyday life. I always interject and tell people we are a tyrannical oligarchy.

We WERE a Republic. The first step in getting it back is realizing it has been lost.
