I have seen posts on here about the Titanic did not really sink but it was really the Olympic her sister sphip,

There is ample evidence of this. They used the Olympic because she was not really seaworthy after an accident (If I recall correctly?). I believe the DS used this as a way to sink her to not only get rid of a major expensive headache, but to also get rid of Astor so he couldn't prevent the federal reserve from coming into being.
