Case tossed out against Christian street preacher arrested for alleged homophobia
A case against John Dunn, a Christian street preacher, was tossed out after he was accused of violating a U.K. public order law against hate speech by publicly denouncing homosexuality.

Well at the time (late 1700s to mid-1800s) poverty was widespread in England and hungry people do desperate things to eat. Such was the environment in England at that time, and the upper classes were looking for a way to diminish crime. They found it in the deportation policy.
