I couldn't ever go there again. I also have a church member that she and her husband are gone to New York City for this week of Thanksgiving. I told her to 'please' not go to the subway. I will not rest until she returns home safely. We are all small town country folks who feel out of sorts in large cities, but we do like to see how the other half live. However, I would NOT have picked now to go take a vacation there.
She told me after church last Sunday when we all met at the Diner. A few of us go meet there and eat and fellowship. That's when I begged her not to go into the Subway. Joyce is a very lovely lady and she is the lead singer in our choir.
I was there in the 1980, and it was hard already. The image from the city won't leave my mind for at least 3 months especially the noise and the graffiti.
I was in LA with my husband who was an over the road trucker. It was my last trip because I was getting close to my delivery date and everyone would comment at Truck Stops at the pregnant lady getting out of an 18 wheeler. That was in 1985. I had to use the bathroom bad as the further along you get in pregnancy the more you have to go to the bathroom. So my husband pulled off to the side of the road in front of a gas station and the dude wouldn't let me use the bathroom unless I at least bought a coke or something. So here I am, busting and holding on, having to run back to the truck to get money to buy a drink so I could get the key to the bathroom. Those people had no human compassion whatsoever. It makes me wonder if they treated their own wives that way.

Please pray for her. I wouldn't go to NY
