Thank god I didn’t die :) I wanted to do a PSA to all vets on this site for exposure therapy for PTSD I just completed. I want to encourage other vets to do it but it is critical to stop drinking and start working out for it to work. And when it works, as my provider says “it’s F’n magical”.
Yes, I spent most of my days drinking to suppress my awesome memories of Iraq and AF. Wife kicked me in the nuts and pushed me into exposure RX and I made a decision to quit drinking. Now I just use crack (JK). Best decision I’ve made, well outside of not taking the clot shot.
I quit drinking 2 months ago and it seemed to clear up. Wish there were docs like you at the VA, they suckkkkk. (Except one or two I’ve met).

Thanks again for sharing your wisdom!
When you stopped, was it cold turkey?
