Something was happening elsewhere in that airport, I’m sure. He was just a planted distraction.

Most likely he was planted, but not to distract. He’s the main attraction. The purpose is obvious: keep America believing it is racist and fascist and that right/wing nazis are everywhere. It’s too bad they didn’t hog tie and drag him across the carpet to an interrogation room 😉
