After reading her most recent substack post on Thanksgiving and looking contextually at her last several posts on child mutilation in the name of the scientism-endorsed transgender ideology, followed by her coming out in full support of the second amendment, I think that she must have specifically known someone or some family that got destroyed by the transgender movement.
For someone from HAWAII to embrace the 2nd amendment is far out enough that it almost requires it to be from an emotional reaction to being powerless against the quack doctors that con families into damaging their kids.
Also someone stunning is to see a former leftist take the time to quote St Francis of Assisi.
She follows this on by actually taking the time to get interviewed by Matt Walsh on the subject of the transgender movement.
Some other interesting notes:
I can get a surrogate idea of the number of "followers" she has on substack that are active by the number of people that like the posts on there.
She's sitting at about 200 or so on average.
Greenwald's substack gets that on a bad day.
This means her "market penetration" simply isn't there to have a major influence on the national stage at this point, primarily because she is an enemy (or former enemy) of the Republicans and Persona Non Grata to the Democrats.
So where does this leave her?
Where CAN she fit into an America First agenda?
Put aside "as an elected official" for a moment.
Some people manage to do far more outside the system than they ever managed within the system (Exhibit A: Sarah Palin.)
So before you tell me you don't trust her (it takes a lot for people to change their mind about someone, I've had a negative opinion about her for YEARS. But then again, I used to have a positive opinion of One-eye Crenshaw. I thought he'd be Solid Snake, he turned out to be Big Boss. So let's be clear: I'm fallible.), ask yourself: IF SHE IS CHANGED, IF SHE IS NOW A PRO-AMERICA CITIZEN, where can she in fact do the most good?
Yes, I know this is an unpopular subject, but someone once reminded me that everyone has to have at least some chance at redemption, so I figured discussion from a game theory perspective might be useful.
I don't find Tulsi stunning. Just saying.
typo, I meant "something", LOL
The question isn't whether Tulsi is a goodie or a baddie.
The question is, "Is there any chance Tulsi is a baddie?"
And does it matter, since she's widely ignored?
She's a superstar. Worst nightmare, Desantis/Tulsi 2024 ticket.
She's positioning herself to run against Trump in 2024. She'll run as an Independent to siphon off votes for Trump. She is NOT a white hat.
DJTJR was also on Tucker, as was Greenwald.
He is, for better or worse, one of the last few outposts on tradmedia where people who get cancelled can still have a voice.
I'll reiterate that the point of this post was to have a discussion in which we assume good faith on her part for the point of discussing where she would fit into an America First agenda.
You bring up some very good points for those willing to have an honest discussion about Tulsi versus those purists operating from the visceral paradigm of unchanging clear delineations between this and that. The so called right has its own form of cancel culture that is unforgiving and unyielding. This is not to say that people should be accepted at face value without vetting or proper time to demonstrate a turn in belief. But the idea that someone can never be accepted after having a change of heart and mind goes against everything that we claim to stand for.
Tulsi the politician I think is in the rear view mirror - at least for the near future. She is too toxic for either side of the isle to rally enough support behind her to hold office. But, she does provide a voice for those disenfranchised Dems that cannot stomach the idea of going full tilt Republican. Tulsi can be used as a bridge to reach out to those homeless Dems and Independents. The question you ask about where and how is the best place to make use of Tulsi is a pragmatic one that deserves consideration. I for one, am willing to have that discussion because I do think there is a place for her. Thank you for asking the question and speaking your mind.
Thanks for taking the time to look at my thoughts on this in the spirit they are written.
I agree that as an elected official I don't think she stands a chance outside of her island. That said, there may be an opportunity for her to help move Hawaii out of the DNC stranglehold.
You are welcome and I totally agree. We have to move away from the trap of polarization that the power brokers have tried to manipulate everyone into. Tulsi could be a very useful voice for inclusion that in reality does cover a large swath of Americans. Not the kind of inclusion that stems from some SJW construct, but one of simply Americans trying to do what is right for Americans not born out of some Corporatist or Marxist agenda.
We are never going to fix any of our problems if we continue to exclude those that may have done or said something in the past that we politically disagree with. We must reach out to others and find common ground. I am afraid that too many have retreated to their respective corners, refusing to find any compromise. Thanks again for expressing your thoughts. They are greatly appreciated.
