I have read Nigel Calder, Brian Greene, Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein and others, and can tell you it's an interesting field. What fascinates me about astrophysics and quantum physics is that you're dealing with a lot of assumptions about what exists and what doesn't, and sometimes the mathematics can be torturous when you try to explain it. Warning: it can become addictive, going down all those rabbit holes and going through hypothetical wormholes. It isn't without humor, though. A couple of examples for your reading pleasure:
Werner Heisenberg is stopped for speeding on the highway. The trooper asks him if he knows how fast he was going. Heisenberg says no, but at least he knows where he is.
Higgs boson goes to a local Catholic Church on Sunday morning, but when he gets to the door the father won't let him in, and they get into an argument. Exasperated, Higgs finally tells the father: "Look, Padre, you have to let me in. Without me, you have no mass."
Mr. Neutron was in a pissy mood on Friday because Mrs. Neutron wouldn't let him go fission on the weekend.
Oh, these crazy physics jokes...
