The notion that we need to implement 'bans' on these things is mind boggling.

Are these things legal to begin with? We have child abuse laws.

IMO he should focus on legally punishing the culprits, if in violation of the law.

I totally agree. And this is going down a bad path. Does there have to be a law against each type of mutilation or it is allowed to happen?
