Yes I see your point. Can you teach empathy? Or can you acquire it.?

Low iq? Very clever people ..intellect...can have absolutely no emotional intelligence at all....all left brain. While so called low iq can have a very proud spiritual life close to nature

I had thought ritual had its place as right hand side of brain doesn't use words.it responds to .symbols music etc but it's just my opinion that it can be taken as enough..
