Apparently there are times when suspension of the constitution is warranted to get your hands dirty (e.g. times of war). Makes you wonder why there is even a constitution in the first place if you can selectively choose to use it.

No difference in principle between that and a "public health emergency" in my opinion. Just different people.

Not that the constitution is followed anyway, so no point handicapping yourself against your enemies.
