Thanks horseyPatriot for highlighting this important case. What do you think of the 2020 dueling electors implications if the Supremes find for the States legislatures? Anything to it in your opinion?
So I am an engineer who is just learning her way around these Supreme Court cases. Work caused me to miss much of the oral arguments today 🥲
Others familiar with the law can weigh in, but I think this case will be specific to the rights of the legislators in making the NC electoral map. But that it will set precedent for states Constitutions and the legislators roles in following the State constitutions for other cases.
I was sooo impressed with the little I heard from the lawyer representing Moore. Just wow! His recall on Federalist papers. It was also great to hear Clarence Thomas.
@SharonSaysSo will be doing a live Instagram on the case at 9:00 pm. She will be on the liberal side and be afraid that our country will break apart if she perceives the justices to side with Moore, but she listened to all 3 hours, knows the justices and law well, and will provide a great summary, I’m sure. But please be nice to her. She is super smart and is playing a role in this plan I think - to help teach those who know nothing about our government and to help them learn to stop the vitriolic comments on social media and to get up and do something to fix our country. Just a hunch I have after watching her in action for over a year now…
