FACT: George Washington he lost more battles than he won. Although he lost the Battle of Germantown (400 dead, including the entire 9th Virginia Regiment) he won at the Battles of Trenton in 1776 and Yorktown in 1781. That's FIVE YEARS between victories. WE ARE HERE FOR THE LONG HAUL, CUPCAKES! #LFG

One of my absolute fav historical movies. "The Crossing" starring Jeff Daniels. Free on YT. He plays George Washington crossing the Delaware.

When I am feeling discouraged I think about Washington pinned against the bank of the river, forced into the decision to either cross it or face the British. With a ragtag group of hungry boys and young men serving him and other branches of the military refusing to cooperate. With some of the locals hating him for commandeering their commercial boats. With other locals supporting him and the cause. The difficulties he faced in knowing who to rely on, who to trust.
Post this. I'll sticky it. Drop us a modmail when it's up. Thanks patriot.
