Also, the commie president of Chile threatened to invade Brazil if the military intervenes with Lula becoming president.

That will not work out well for Chile, and I would guess there would be a massive revolt on the side of the military.

Yeah, don't think it would go well for them at all. And I'd expect Bolivia and Peru to enter the fray on the side of Brazil, if nothing else, in order to recapture the Atacama region from Chile that they lost at the end of the 1800's.
