I've coded enough to know this is likely true. Neural net stuff doesn't hold a candle to modern language AI. Its not hard to give the AI guidance like targeting specific key words and phrases. Linking it to social media platforms might require some glue scripts but I wrote those as a sophomore in college for side work.
