advantage of being a stay-at-home mom.
My kids NEVER went on a field trip that didn't include a parent - most of the time it was me, but hubby loved the sciency stuff, so would take a day off to participate.
That's great. I still think home school is better but kids do need socialization.
I was shocked at how many homeschool families there are - socialization is NOT a problem. Easy to find network of families that get together every week for sports, games, arts/crafts, music....and thats not even including the church activities. No need to worry about contact with other kids - makes it easier to pick WHICH kids you want YOUR kid to be around. Honestly, the homeschool kids were always better behaved.
Oh yeah, I didn't think about church for socialization. That's right.
Not just well behaved, but they seem to be a lot more talented in many different ways and not just academically.
