You sure they aren't Americans trying to get used to driving a car from the left lane. I tore my rental up car pulling up to the curbs. Staying in a luxurious downtown town hotel, high curbs....,you should have seen the face of the doorman as I pulled up, he had the look of WTF, the screeching of metal on curb was so loud and disturbing, everybody around there just looked in disbelief, it was hilarious!!
