This is true.

I wanted a bigger coffee mug but did not want to spend $18-25 for some crap from China made from God knows what.

Ended up finding a 20 oz. blue coffee mug with gold trim at an estate sale.

On the bottom of the mug, it was stamped "American Decorators Trenton NJ". so made in America and most likely in the 1980s.

Similar style mugs go for $30-$100+ on eBay depending on the college. While I can't say I'm a fan of the University of Maine, I like the blue color and got mine for $3!
