Watch what else Trump does today. Love or hate the noise, Trump did just get all eyes and ears on him. The sensationalism this "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT" has is all showmanship to turn heads.

This is the Signal.
People critical of Trump are gonna look at everything he says after this "debacle" in order to make fun of him. Fine, do that. It plays right into Trump's plan. They're paying attention to him now. They're also leading others to pay attention as well.
Trump, more than anyone else, knows that any publicity is good publicity -- if you know how to pay your hand right.
Unsurprisingly, the haters and bot networks over at reddit are focusing solely on the noise and there's not a single post mentioning the anti-censorship plan he posted.
Maybe he’s doing a demonstration about what gets focused on. He drops two things on the same day. The media and everyone only focus on the one where they can denigrate him. The other is for the benefit of the country and everyone and gets no attention and focus. It would be great if he would do a follow up pointing this out where attention again has to be paid to him. I won’t hold my breath though. I’m done having expectations. That way I’m not disappointed or feeling emotionally manipulated.
It's obvious the botnets are still rampant because they're still able to manipulate what gets "focused on" but believe me, most people who heard about the cards have also seen the video because everyone with 2 brain cells to rub together can figure out the cards were a red herring used to generate buzz first.
