Folks, this is Newsome promoting DeSantis. The influx of illegal immigrants into California predates Newsom or DeSantis, it predates their births. Newsome has been working to position DeSantis as a Republican they fear for a while now.

It doesn’t make DeSantis complicit, but it begs the question why does Newsome want to boost DeSantis’ image with Republicans? The likely answer is the believe DeSantis will be easy to defeat.
