In 2018 a line with a unique id (UUID), something that looks like wcvjj455-wd356x-Loy589, has a title of something like “Flu test kit”.
In Table_B I have the invoices.
It’s a table full of UUIDs from other tables. Now if I didn’t use a lookup feature in Table_B to record the title of item wcvjj455-wd356x-Loy589, then the title is fluid. If then in 2020 I rename our “Flu test kit” in Table_A to “COVID 19 test kit” then Table_B will show the change when you bring up an old invoice.
Where this is utilized is if I have a spelling error, I can go to 1 pace in 1 table and correct the error and it will correct the error across the entire database.
Table_B doesn’t know “Flu test kit”, unless it’s told to record it, it only knows wcvjj455-wd356x-Loy589.
Now IF this is the case it means that the COVID test kits are just flu test kits, or some other already existing test kit rebranded.
The COVID "19" strain was named "19" because it was manufactured and deployed in 2019. So, not sure how that could be. I tried looking up data prior, and no go, so, if you have some please link. https://blogs.webmd.com/public-health/20200713/why-is-it-called-covid19
