I've been watching them also. I had read a very interesting article from a Yale study that explained everything South of Lake Mead was a fertile basin prior to the Hoover Dam. If you have been watching Sin City Outdoors, you will notice how lush the banks have become since the water level drops.
I would love to see more of the downstream area to see if it has also benefitted from the water level drop. California dumps fresh water into the ocean while routing Lake Mead water to Southern California. Was Lake Mead dammed to this extent to control the land in the Southwest for nefarious purposes?
