Workers find human heart in salt pile in Tennessee, triggering homicide investigation: "Somebody, somewhere knows"

Testing of tissue samples confirmed that it was an adult male human heart, the sheriff said.

Human hearts being cut out represent both Sacrifice and the ultimate symbol of Conquest. Especially cutting out the enemy's heart on a battlefield. Aztecs did it. They cut out human hearts and cut off heads as sacrifices to the Gods at the ending of their civilization.
