And yet recently he calls Elon a Hero for the Twitter files. Either Trump was acting like he wasn't on Elon's side or Elon is a gray hat and Trump is rewarding him for benefitting the white hats..?

Remember this was back during the back and forth of Elon and twitter. I think trump was baiting twitter. He knew he had them because Twitter had to do what was best on behalf of their shareholders. Either way, he knew Twitter was in deep shit.
