At 3 this afternoon the temperature here in New England was 56°... 8 hours later it has drooped 36° to 21° with a low of 13° expected... PLEASE... Everyone stay bundled up and warm...

Nor are our houses. Mine is over 100 years old and apparently was built during the last Global Warming. A few years ago we had temps like this, even colder minus temps at night, for over 10 days. Our pipes froze all the way out to the well pump. They hadn't been put in deep enough.
