Hi SocratesKnowsNothing — I enjoyed reading your post, and the replies from NeverStopBelieving. I’m sharing a tough ride in the family relationship world too. I’m sure a lot of of us are….Recently, I was able to “take the gloves off” for a bit with one of my family members, and have a 50 minute long truth-based conversation (over the phone). Turns out, this family member is strongly liberal, more than I ever knew. This person hates Trump with a passion. One of my most confounding take-always was that this person relied on court records to get to the truth. This person was bent on saying “facts are facts” and “opinions are opinions”, and knows the difference between the two from reading court records. There was no way I could break the news that sometimes courts don’t make good judgments, and that sometimes courts are corrupt and/or are severely swayed by public opinion. I have a long road ahead of me with this one. It’s both exciting and frightening to see how spiritual this fight really is.
glad it was received well, so thank you. and best of luck with your family. my advice is to start with common ground matters...pedophilia (not to prove who's a pedo but instead to simply both agree that no matter who is might be proven to be hurting kids in this manner or worse that it won't matter who they are or what political party they're with), Epstein, trans, big corporations being heartless and corrupt, etc
