I've been following solar weather for quite a few years. I can predict overcast days by cme events. And a warming trend following a large earth bound cme. It's just like clockwork. And it causes forecasts to change predictably, when they are wrong.
Sunspots not so much (as far as my ability to predict). Flares and CMEs definitely. Usually get 2-3 days warning of when they'll hit us. But I'm beginning to see patterns in the weather before the CME events happen. Haven't paid enough attention to know for sure yet.
