Judge to Order New Election in Screven County After ‘Systemic Irregularities’
A highly anticipated hearing in Screven County lasted more than three hours last week and yielded a decision by a judge to order a new election after testimony revealed ‘irregularities’ in the 2022 election. Background On November 18, 2022, Screven County...
I’ve lived in Georgia all my life and have never heard of Screven county.
Can this be used as precedent in Arizona?
Arizona already has previous law precedent where a governor war removed by court order due to an election ruling. Thomas Edward Campbell was removed and replaced with George W. P. Hunt. That case took almost 1 year to be ruled on. Thomas Edward Campbell was governor for all the time before being removed. So even if Hobbs is inaugurated, that doesn't mean she can't be removed. However, the question remains, how corrupt is the Arizona court system.
This case would hopefully pave the way to fix things in Georgia. It would be interesting to see what the results are for the redo election versus the old one. If they are significantly different, that should give people pause. I would assume this is a more Republican leaning district, so the cheating wouldn't be anything on the scale of the Democrat controlled districts, but would be interesting to see how much there was.
