That’s not difficult to believe at all. My mail is sent over a hundred miles away to get sorted, and in another state, even when it’s going across town. That’s how it works.
Exactly, in Oregon every piece of my cities (Bend) mail is sent 150 miles away to Portland to be "processed". Bend is not small either, it has roughly 100k population. But due to USPS supposed "efficiency", every piece of mail is trucked TWICE for 150 miles over the mountains.
