I don't follow the pope. I don't think the position is supported by the Scriptures. (John 14:6)...

However, I can respect Benedict's stance on social issues and that he addressed the sexual abuse taking place within the catholic church.

Only God can judge a man's heart. Just like everyone else who passes, we should hope that he knew Christ in this life.
