I can do nothing and be very happy...but I doubt that I am on the same page as Klaus. Just staring at a sunrise or sunset, listening to the birds sing or even watching the grass grow can be very pleasurable...it really has more to do with an inner joy and peace...the ability to truly see the world around you...contentment to be in the moment...all is well with the world for that brief moment in time...yeah, I can do nothing and be very happy.
...the joy in life is not having anything to do....
...the joy in life is having things to do and not doing them...
...doggy woo...
My philosophy has ALWAYS been...why do something today that can be put off until tomorrow. We played a lot of kick the can as kids and evidently that has formed this basic philosophy of life.
...it has been said of me...
..."you can count on A.Dog to do the right thing...
...after he has tried everything else"....
...howls...
Just a wee bit hard headed there, eh?
...it is the Scotch/Irish in me....
...howls...
I am 1/4 Irish...my maiden name was Irish .. in fact I still have my prized "Kiss me I'm Irish " metal pin from high school...I also possess the famous Irish temper, although I have mellowed somewhat. I have many red-headed aunts...
...as I...
...and cousins...
Such a huge part of human joy consists of "exploring".
Just taking a drive, a walk, just wandering in and out of shops you've never shopped in, just seeing who's out in their yard today, this is crucial for a full life, a life with spice.
This notion of "convenience" needs to be crushed, and crushed HARD.
...absolute ironclad truth....
Hunger Games in real life
...valid observation....
we can always find something to do
...exactly....
I have it on good authority from someone who was raised there that in South St. Louis City people basically won't drive more than 15 minutes to get somewhere, otherwise it's just too far to go...or maybe they think they'll end up in the part of the map that says 'here be dragons'. I guess they'd get along pretty well with this restriction.
I'm glad I live in a very red rural area.
...you can't take those dragons lightly...
