If Jim Jordan said he would take the position the votes would fly to him. I am sure of it. We are on a slippery slope and McCarthy should step aside and let someone who can get the votes get it. JiM JORDAN

For McCarthy to step aside he would have to: a) be interested in what was best for the party b) be free from the inevitable "leverage" that the cabal holds over him
