Perhaps it is the plan to make DJT speaker of the house. The optics would not be as good if 45 opposed McCarthy because he wanted to be speaker of the house.
Now Trump can get a nomination without that fight against McCarthy.
After all, McCarthy is the first failed speaker vote in 100 years. We all know Trump's world consists of Longshots.
Can anyone explain why MTG is bent on McCarthy? You should have heard her on Bannons Warroom ranting about “3 of the 5 (no voters) were demanding personal favors/appointments from McCarthy.” (?) I’m a yuge fan of her platform, grit, and record so far, but where is all this aggression toward the handful of brave and fed up patriots coming from? Any truth to it? I’m missing something here…She was so pissed that she started rambling! It was wild.
