There are two explanations that spring to mind..

McCarthy has been turned
Trump expects McCarthy to do a great job of exposing the DS

I have no idea if either of these are true though.

I think Trump is making sure the Democrats don't vote for Kevin. Only thing I can think of. They would rather die than vote for anyone Trump endorsed.

Jordan has no chance of winning, but I think it is worth holding out and getting something good before switching votes. There's no reason for MAGA candidates to stop voting for Jordan unless they get something good in trade for voting for a RINO.
