Ok so,i went to school in the 80s through the early 90s.
I was taught the earth is moving closer to the sun.the moon was moving away from us. How much closer to the sun are we today than we were in 1985? How much further away is the moon today than it was in 1985? Wouldnt getting closer to sun warm the planet up? Is this not happening anymore?
Was also taught that the continents are constantly moving. Weve had an increase in volcanic activity and earthquakes.this is when things move. Is this not happening anymore either?
Was taught that planet goes through natural climate changes from ice ages to extreme heat. This not true anymore?
I was taught that this affects the climate. Is this not true anymore? I guess this stuff isnt taught anymore?
The moon is gradually getting further away but I never heard that the Earth is getting closer to the Sun. However the sun is expected to expand into a red giant in a couple billion years and grow brighter over the next billion so who says that hasn't already started? Also we do have solar cycles that take decades to go through and in the late 70s it was "global cooling" not warming, it looks like we're returning to that as the solar cycle repeats.
