Does anyone remember the egg shaped craft that could be sent back to earth from orbit and would land without any power of propulsion and no wings? Just an egg and flimsy landing gear. Shown on TV in action late ‘80s I think.

What I’m talking about was was shown on the news landing on an airstrip. It was still in the developmental stage.
