Good. I work for the federal government. The amount of fraud, waste, and abuse I see everyday at the expense of the tax payer is absolutely disgusting. It's not just one agency, it's all of them. From the DoD down to the DoT and everything in between. Slash the federal workforce by 10 percent for 4 years consecutively and see where we are at, which is an extremely conservative cut overall. Part of the problem is the process to fire a federal employee, especially if they are in a protected class. That needs to change ASAP.
I think that a whole lot could be accomplished without going through a never-ending firing process in the following way. (1) Do not replace anyone who retires or leaves government. (2) Move federal government agencies out of Washington D.C. and see who follows, i.e. move the Department of the Interior to somewhere in the interior, move Homeland Security to El Paso, move the Department of Agriculture to Iowa, move the department of Energy to Texas. (3) Transfer employees from bloated D.C. departments to the new out-of-D.C. departments.
Many of actions and steps began under DJT - USDA required all DC employees to move to their territories and most of them resigned or retired after loads of grumbling.
DJT also took the initial required steps of employee categorization to run operations with a reduced force - RIF Planning - he did that in 2017 - and I believe every agency had to submit those plans, including the Big Swamp DOD.
There is a waiting period involved and it's been over two years so that timeframe has been met, so an "RIF" can be implemented which could lay off/fire over half of the federal workforce!
He made BIG MOVES while he was in office!
Everything is teed up and ready to go.
That article quotes the seething democrats as calling it “war on the federal work force.” Do they really think that statement is going to resonate with…anyone?? That might as well be the greatest slogan to pitch the idea.
Right? That article is published in GovExecutive magazine - a newsletter for federal employees. They are So Biased and entitled, so it's been delicious to watch them gnash their teeth, cry and whine about having to follow actual rules and not get to do whatever they want at our expense!
I say Scrop the whole thing and start over!
Repeal it all back to pre-1781.

It's a start, anyway.
