Has anyone had any experience using ivermectin to treat pneumonia? Or have you read any studies about it? If you have any information, please post it here. Thanks.

"Pneumonia" can be viral, bacterial, chemical, allergic--ivermectin wouldn't help with every kind.
Alright, thanks. Which kinds might it help with?
Ivermectin has some antiviral, some antibacterial, and some anti-inflammatory action. But isn't as far as I know the best for the latter two problems. And there are many other infective causes. Think of pneumonia as a symptom, the result of something that caused inflammation and fluid build up in the lungs: if it started from aspirating chicken soup or being exposed to toxic fumes, an anti viral isn't going to help. Most antibiotics are useless against fungus. And so on. If you have someone with a high fever and difficulty breathing, go to a doctor! Or at least an urgent care center.
Thank you for the info.
Was hospitalized with pneumonia (Covid) last year, after 11 days and not getting better, I started taking ivermectin again and was released to home on oxygen 5 days later. Pulmonary embolism as well. Did not start taking it weekly again for about a month, but I lost 85% of my lungs to scar tissue and in June I was at over 85% clear. 1 year later Im pretty close to 100%, nothing I can't do and no fibrosis, or possibly a small amount at the bottom. Can't say it was the ivermectin, but the pulmonologist was shocked at the turnaround. Steroids were also given, prednisone when I got home and again after 2-month checkup because it looked like fibrosis may have been forming.
Wow, dramatic story. Glad you made it. Thanks for the info. Do you mind saying your age range? Not your actual age, but like - middle aged, elderly, young, etc?
56, the new 30.
Lol. Glad to hear it!! Okay, so not old but not exactly young either. Thanks. This was great to hear.
Not sure as you can have pneumonia without infection.
I see. Thank you.
I have come close to pneumonia a couple of times from inhaling acid reflux in my sleep. No virus, no bacteria, just acidulous gastric contents.
BTW, I’m on a Z-pack, prednisone and albuterol right now for flu-related bronchitis. I believe my five-day course of ivermectin shortened the flu symptoms materially but the pulmonary inflammation had already begun.
Had Aspiration pneumonia from petroleum fire smoke (hydraulic fluid fire). three days in bed with fever and some delirium. Corporation I worked with sent someone to see why I was missing work and took me to a clinic. Got shots, pills, oxygen and an inhaler. Blue fingernails.
I had best results with breathing issues by going heavy duty on the vite C and D3. did that for 3 solid months and got rid of a lingering issue I'd had 1.5 years since I'd been sick at the very beginning of covid being mentioned. You need to take minimum of 8000iu of the D3 and preferably a lot more. And the C, at least 4 of the 1000 milligram tabs. More would be much better. Some people get the NAC as well. I heard today that if you can get something like a tincture or herbal oil or something, made from the herb Thyme, it is super supportive of the respiratory tract. Ivermectin had not helped fix my congestion but it certainly did help with other issues.
Thank you so much. I'm glad you were able to get better. I have never heard that about thyme before. Very interesting! I will look into that.
Zithromax or Azithromycin, aka Z-Pak, will cover some pneumonias.
Ivermectin allows Zinc into the cells at a much faster rate. Zinc is a magical cure most ailments so in a sense, ivermectin will be beneficial for many things if taken with zinc and D3.
Thank you. I thought it was the quercetin that was a zinc ionophore? Maybe Ivermectin does that too. Thanks for your help.
I didn't see pneumonia mentioned but asthma is in this one.
