I'm not seeing the pointing, at least not aggressively. Seemed to put his hand out as if (to me) to get someone's attention in order to say something.

But he didn't seem to me to be, for example, barging thru the crowd? Or, mouth open shouting/yelling?

Maybe he was pulled out for something not related? We should, if possible, find out who pulled him away... that might tell us a lot.
