This was a Signal to Geatz , that they finally got all the concessions that they needed to control the speaker of the house. Now it’s go time.

Yes. As I thought, it was all kabuki. Even MTG. Even McCarthy. He couldn't have baldly upset the Uniparty by looking agreeable, or Reps would have joined the Dems to thwart him. They were playing chicken with the Dems from a very safe position, and when the margins were getting down into an unstable zone, the coach stopped it. Good actors putting on a thriller.
