If I remember correctly, Texas state law allows use of deadly force to protect property. Getting robbed I assume falls into that category.

What is potentially problematic are the coup de grace shots at the end.

A conservative DA probably wouldn't bother trying to prosecute this in Texas.

Houston unfortunately is a liberal shithole.
