not true DDpede, we have here 4 types of police: 1. Feds 2. Military Police 3.Municipal, and 4.Civil. The Military Police is the most visible day to day. They are under the command of the Military, but somewhat independent in peace times. The Military has also a Police wich is called Policia do Exercito, and they are not involved. There are rumours that the miitary is starting to revolt to the Generals, that do not want to engage, even if this is their obligation.
