When Polis was elected I said they would come for your money, guns, and vote. I left when they took my vote. I see they're working on completing the trifecta.
I'm increasingly regretting not selling at peak of bubble last summer - I just wasn't quite ready for several combined reasons. Now gearing up to cut losses (well, atm still gains but by this summer who knows) before it's too late.
We probably sold a bit early but even though they kept reporting higher prices I really don't think there were any buyers at those prices. We lived near Glenwood and it's hard to sell mountain property in a soft market. We did a stint near our son in Ft Worth and hated it. Ended up in eastern Tennessee and are mostly glad to be here. No where is perfect.
It is amazing twisty road central, and they're smooth as glass mostly.
Services here are weak. Medical care takes some advanced planning for everyday stuff. Dining out is not a strong point. Any travel through a big city will be jammed as they are all overwhelmed with new population. The tourists do come here a lot in the summer. It's mostly small town south, the people are super nice and it's pretty cheap.

Where did you end up?

We might have talked regarding this previously. TN is on my radar for sure, esp given it looks like twisty road central.
What imperfections/could-be-betters are you running into?
