I knew what you were getting at. Idolatry is a big problem and it isn't talked about or understood nearly as well as it ought to be. Celebrity culture, as much as it's about distracting the public and making us complacent and docile, is also attempting to replace God. They'll be judged for trying to lead His people astray.
