It fascinates me how people can read the same article and come away with completely different takes on it. I see hope, not pain.

The article implies that it will be painful and terrifying and "not gentle" but implores us to "trust" that it will be for the betterment of humanity. In other words, don't panic this is all critical change for the greater good. I see hope AND pain.
