This is how I feel about many stickied items that are very quickly proven false but were either presented as a BOOM! Fact! and then abandoned because it was clearly someone getting excited to the point of needing to post false info. It makes the board look so dumb and so willing to believe anything. And it makes the board look like liars. Or fake news. Which is supposed to be one of the absolutely glaring and major differences between MSM and the board. Egos. Power. Corruption of ethics. Drift of task and purpose. Basically waay more destructive to the cause than any shill could hope to be. Worse than dooming, I say.
