I am in an ADHD kids group on FB. You are completely batted down and berated if you mention any sort of punishment for the kid. One lady traveled across the country to see her family at Christmas, but her FIVE YEAR OLD didn't want to go to the relatives house so she was sitting in the hotel room with him walking around telling her how much he hates her. She was skipping the family events because of her ADHD kid. People praised her for taking good care of him and letting him have his feelings. The people that told her to go anyhow, he can sit in a quiet room if he needs to, they got berated. These kids are growing up with no punishments at all. They can just do whatever they want. Makes me sick, but it's like an car accident, I can't look away.
Should have learned how to discipline the kid sooner. That little MF would have shown with tears in his eyes at his relatives place, because of the corrective action that SHOULD have taken place.
I get sick seeing these “parents” letting their kids have temper tantrums with no corrective action or consequence.
Sometimes you learn by doing things 180° out from what you observe.
