Not exactly. Weapon handling protocol. He violated it. Anytime one takes control of a weapon, it is that persons responsibility to verify the weapons status. Not the armorer, not the camera person, not the bus driver...
It is solely on the individual (Baldwin) who takes control of the weapon the very second it is in his/her hand. Baldwin was taught this earlier in his career. He knows and understands the requirements. He didn't do the verification process? Cross examination will answer that. No matter how hard his defense tries to spin his story, This woman's death is solely on Baldwin. No one else.
IF he didn't verify, then he is facing manslaughter. If under cross examination he says he verified the weapon, then he's facing murder charges.... how this story unfolds!!
