We need to STOP! If Russia really wants the land back bad enough, it is not worth going to nuclear war with them. This is a waste of money and resources.
And lives. It has nothing to do with land. It’s to do with protecting the millions of Russian Speaking civilians that live in the Donbas. They were suppose to be protected by the Minsk Accords, but the minute France, Germany and Ukraine signed them, Ukraine Military and the AZOV Battalions started genocide in this area. From 2015 until the start of the SMO in February 2022, 16,000 Russian speaking civilians have been tortured, raped and murdered. https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/12/22/ffci-d22.html Putin said no more and has rescued millions from being slaughtered. The weapons used by the Ukraine Military is supplied by America mostly, but the EU, UK and the West to slaughter hundreds of civilians still in the Donbas, but many have been evacuated into Russia for their protection. The Referenda that was conducted, was an outstanding YES to come back under the protection of Russia. The land was never Ukraine’s to start with. It was always Russia’s. Putin is protecting Russians in that area and because USA/UK/EU refused to meet with Putin, what is happening today is a result of almost a decade of crimes committed by Ukraine. It’s not a waste of money if the people who allocate it get a significant percentage back. That’s just “investment.”
