My mother had me and my sisters doing manual labor at home from the age of 4. She said the only good thing about having kids was that “you can make them your slaves.” Yes obviously we were horribly abused as well. But plenty of kids did labor at home for free. My mother seemed to think we owed her for feeding and clothing us.
